Supplied in 1m, 5m, 10m and 50m lengths, in 11 diameters from 3mm up to 20mm, so the same rope suits anything from light tying jobs to securing heavier loads, within the breaking loads in the table below.

The braided construction keeps the rope flexible, and because polypropylene does not degrade in moist conditions, the rope suits jobs where it is exposed to damp or the weather.

Key Features

Flexible braided polypropylene construction

11 diameters from 3mm to 20mm, in 1m, 5m, 10m and 50m lengths

Colour varies by diameter (see the table below)

Rot-proof – polypropylene does not degrade in moist conditions

Resistant to mechanical damage and weather conditions

Lightweight, durable polypropylene

Specification

Diameter

Colour

Weight

Breaking load

3mm (0.12")

Yellow

3.2g/m (0.03oz/ft)

0.82kN (84kgf)

4mm (0.16")

Yellow

5.8g/m (0.06oz/ft)

1.35kN (138kgf)

5mm (0.20")

White

8.3g/m (0.09oz/ft)

1.53kN (156kgf)

6mm (0.24")

Orange

11.5g/m (0.12oz/ft)

2.74kN (279kgf)

8mm (0.31")

Black

24.4g/m (0.26oz/ft)

4.41kN (450kgf)

10mm (0.39")

Black

42.5g/m (0.46oz/ft)

7.00kN (714kgf)

12mm (0.47")

Black

59.4g/m (0.64oz/ft)

-

14mm (0.55")

Orange

71.5g/m (0.77oz/ft)

9.54kN (973kgf)

16mm (0.63")

Blue

99.6g/m (1.07oz/ft)

13.19kN (1345kgf)

18mm (0.71")

Black

125.3g/m (1.35oz/ft)

15.46kN (1576kgf)

20mm (0.79")

Red

144.0g/m (1.55oz/ft)

18.62kN (1899kgf)

Breaking load figures are from the manufacturer's own declaration of conformity for braided polypropylene rope; the 12mm figure was not published by the manufacturer and is left blank rather than estimated. Breaking load is a rope's rated strength under ideal, undamaged conditions; knots, sharp bends, UV ageing and wear all reduce real working strength, so inspect rope regularly and retire it if you see fraying, flattening or discolouration.

Order before 2pm Mon–Fri for same-day dispatch from our UK warehouse.

DIYUK
3mm /
