Overview
4-digit keyless combination locking bolt for gates, sheds, fences and outbuildings. Set your own code from 10,000 possible combinations and there's no key to lose, carry or copy. It's a simple mechanical rotary-dial lock; there are no batteries, electronics or keypad involved, so there's nothing to fail or need replacing in cold or wet weather, just four dials and a solid steel bolt doing the work.
The lock body is zinc alloy with a rust-resistant coating, giving reliable weather resistance for outdoor use year-round, while the four dials are chrome plated and pick-resistant, turning smoothly while resisting casual manipulation. The sliding bolt itself is 10mm (0.39in) solid steel rather than the body alloy, which puts genuine mechanical strength at the point that actually secures the door or gate: the alloy housing carries the dial mechanism, while the steel bolt is what takes the load when someone pushes or pulls against a closed door. Fitting uses the supplied one-way security screws, which turn in one direction only once driven home, so once installed the fixings can't be removed from the outside with an ordinary screwdriver.
Because the code is set by the user rather than cut into a key, it can be shared verbally with family members, tradespeople or delivery drivers and changed again afterwards, without the cost or hassle of getting extra keys cut or worrying about who still holds a copy. At 123 x 48 x 40mm (4.84 x 1.89 x 1.57in) overall, the unit is compact enough to mount on a standard gate rail, shed door frame or cupboard stile without looking oversized, while still giving the 10mm bolt enough travel to engage a proper keep or staple.

Installation Guidance
Setting your code: every lock ships with the factory opening code 0-0-0-0. To set your own combination, slide the bolt knob to the open end of the square recess in the slide rail, pull out the spring-loaded knob and move it over the two small metal tabs until it locks, then dial in your chosen code. The combination can only be changed while the knob is held in this recessed position (normal open/close sliding won't alter it) and it can only be reset once the correct existing code has been entered first. Make a note of your code somewhere safe once it's set, and consider keeping a backup copy indoors in case it's forgotten.
Fitting: the lock installs in minutes using the supplied one-way security screws: a screwdriver is all that's needed, with no specialist tools required. Because the one-way screw heads can't be backed out once driven home, it's worth checking the dials turn freely and confirming your chosen code before final fixing.
Maintenance: because the bolt typically lives outdoors, an occasional light application of a silicone-based (rather than oil-based) lubricant to the dials and bolt helps keep the mechanism turning freely and guards against stiffness after wet or frosty spells.
Typical Applications
The keyless, weatherproof design suits a wide range of doors, gates and cupboards where carrying or hiding a key is inconvenient, or where more than one person needs access:
- Shed, barn, cabin and outbuilding doors, where a mislaid key can otherwise mean being locked out of your own garden building
- Wooden and iron garden gates and fence gates, letting family members or trades access the garden or side passage without a physical key changing hands
- Windows, where a slide-bolt with a resettable code adds a simple secondary catch
- Workshop cupboards and tool cupboards, keeping tools and equipment secured between uses without tracking a separate key
- Childproof cupboards, where a dial combination keeps contents out of reach of young children while remaining quick for adults to operate
- General indoor or outdoor slide-latch applications wherever keyless entry is preferred over a conventional padlock and key
