Floating Wall Shelf with Concealed Bracket

A floating wall shelf with a fully concealed steel bracket, engineered so the mounting hardware sits hidden inside a routed cavity on the underside of the board; once fixed to the wall, the shelf appears to float with no visible brackets, screws or supports beneath it. Available in four lengths from 235mm up to 1180mm, and in two finishes: a high-gloss white lacquer or a warm sonoma oak woodgrain, so the same hidden-fix system works equally well in a glossy, contemporary bathroom or a natural-wood living space.

The shelf board is manufactured from moisture-resistant chipboard/MDF with a durable PVC edge band running the full perimeter, finished in either high-gloss white lacquer or a sonoma oak woodgrain foil. The bracket itself is powder-coated steel, shaped to sit fully recessed inside the board rather than protruding beneath it; this concealed-bracket format is what gives the shelf its "floating" look, distinct from a traditional shelf-and-visible-bracket design.

Installation Guidance

Each shelf is supplied complete with its matching concealed bracket, mounting screws (ø3.5×20mm), wall plugs (ø8×40mm, quantity scales with shelf length – see table above) and a cap set (ø5×45mm) to hide the underside fixing screws for a clean finish.

The bracket fixes to the wall first – hold it level and mark through the fixing holes before drilling, since any lean in the bracket will be visible once the board is slid into place. Once the bracket is securely fixed, the board slides and locks onto it, with two additional screws driven up through pre-drilled holes in the underside for extra stability; the supplied caps then hide these screws from view.

Always match your wall plugs and fixings to your actual wall type: use the supplied wall plugs for solid masonry (rated up to 35kg), or suitable stud/cavity fixings for plasterboard or hollow walls (rated to 10kg) – fixed into a stud wherever possible for the strongest result. Whichever fixing is used, never exceed its safe working load, and check the fixing periodically if the shelf is carrying heavier items.
