Heavy Duty Zinc Plated Steel L-Shape Corner Brace Angle Bracket (2mm Thick)

Zinc-plated steel L-shape corner brace, folded to a precise 90° angle from 2mm (0.08in) mild steel, built to reinforce and repair right-angle joints in furniture, shelving, and general carpentry and joinery work. Every brace is pressed from cold-rolled EN 10130 DC01 steel, so leg length, angle and fixing-hole position stay consistent from one to the next, and each is zinc-plated for a bright, corrosion-resistant finish for dry interiors, including spaces with occasional moisture (service class 2 to EN 1995-1-1).

The defining feature of this bracket is its narrow 13mm (0.51in) flange width, held to the same dimension across all four available sizes. That narrow profile lets the brace sit flush against the edge of a board or panel without overhanging its face, so once the joint is closed up the fixing stays neat and largely out of sight – a detail that matters on cabinet backs, drawer boxes and other narrow-edge carpentry where a wide, visible bracket would spoil the finish.

Because both legs of the brace are always the same length within a given size – 20 x 20mm (0.79 x 0.79in), 30 x 30mm (1.18 x 1.18in), 40 x 40mm (1.57 x 1.57in) or 50 x 50mm (1.97 x 1.97in) – the bracket is fully symmetrical. There's no particular top, bottom or side to it, so it can simply be turned to whichever orientation lines up neatest against the board edges before it's marked and fixed.

Installation Guidance

Offer the brace into the internal corner of the joint, with both legs sitting flush against the adjoining faces, and check it is square before marking. Mark the fixing points through the pre-drilled 6.5mm (0.26in) holes, then pilot-drill the timber or panel to suit. Fix with wood screws for timber and panel joints, or M6 machine screws/bolts where a through-bolted connection is needed, tightening evenly across all fixing points so the brace draws the joint up square rather than pulling it out of alignment. Choose the smallest size that comfortably spans the joint for the neatest, most discreet finish, and step up a size where the board is wider or the joint needs extra rigidity.
